Hey everyone! Have you set any weekly goals? Have you accomplished any of the goals you set out on previously? I have!
I've participated in an 8k race and a 10k race so far this fall, and I have a 5k race coming up in just a couple of weeks.

This week for me is going to be all about logging at least 20 miles. I've noticed that in the past month my mileage has dropped pretty significantly... I have been working on speed and hills a lot lately, which I need to do, but this week I want to do those things AND keep my mileage up.

So that's it. The only goal for this week is to run 20 miles. I'll let you know how I do on Sunday!

  • How's your progress? Or are you planning a 20 mile run on Saturday ;) ?

    I am flying home and will be away from my bike and distracted from training. My goal is to workout all three days...likely running.

  • Haha. 20 miles on Saturday! It's starting to look like that's the only way to meet my goal this week!

    No.. I got 6 miles in on Tuesday, and I'm planning another 6 today.

    I'm frustrated because I wanted to run at the park at lunchtime today. I drove over to the park with my bag in hand, when I found out that they locked up the restrooms/changing rooms for the winter already!! UGH! And it's such a beautiful fall day, too!

    I guess that just means I'll have to make sure to go for a nice long run tonight to get back "on track" -- then as long as I can get a couple of decent runs this weekend, I might have a chance!

  • I missed my milage goal again this week. Life keeps getting in the way of my running. I wanted a nice long run today, but after the super fun Halloween party I went to last night, I'm lucky to be upright for more than e minutes at a time!

    I have definitely made progress this week, though. I've reached a PR for my 5k finish time, and I'm pretty pleased with that. I hope I can keep that up and get a good result during my race next month.
