I am right there with you. Same weight, a bit taller and 20 years older...but you will find it very encouraging at how quickly you will find yourself jogging 3 miles...just don't stop

I am 8 inches taller and 84 pounds heavier than you plus over double your age and I started today! I know if I stick with this I will do it and so will you! Maybe you, Tracy and I can all keep in touch for motivation!

You can do it!!! I'm almost double your age and a number of pounds heavier! I just "graduated" last week. When I started, I honestly could barely do the 90 second intervals of running. At the end of the month I run my first 5K. I can run for 32 minutes continuously now. I still have a ways to go to run the whole 5K, but I"m on track. Some weeks will be hard, just DON'T GIVE UP! You will be amazed how your body adapts to the different weeks. Good luck!

I just started this week. I'm 30, 5'4", and 147. I had knee surgery 2 years ago and have basically been too afraid to actually do anything for fear of re-injury. But I have to stop being freaked out because I've gained 25-30 pounds since the original knee injury occurred in 2004.

I'm currently 171 same height and older. I've used the c25k and it's been great. I can't always run a miile continuously, but I keep at it. I've found a GOOD pair of running shoes that were properly fitted to my gait made the best difference. Good luck!

I'm looking forward to this c25k plan. I started yesterday and can finish the workout feeling great, but I want to be able to run/jog a full 5k without walking. Good luck!

Just started yesterday and am already looking forward to the moment when I can feel "great" from start to finish. This morning I'm lamenting years of fitness I allowed to fade away. No time like the present to get back in the habit. Gotta rock this out!

I'm in week 7, guys. i ran 2.5miles yesterday without dying or coming close to dying. u can do it. u just have to listen to your better angels and keep running. the biggest problem i've had is my brain telling me 'why do u have to go through this torture'.
