Leg Pain

I have just started week 3, after repeating week 2. What is holding me back is leg pain, mostly in my quadriceps, I feel like every other part of my body can keep going so it is frustrating to be held back. I have had to skip extra days to wait for the pain to subside. I have never had any leg injuries and I am a new runner. Any thoughts?
