repeating weeks?

posted 7 months ago | Report

I've tried and failed this challenge a few times now and always wondered if maybe I'd do better if I allowed myself to repeat weeks without feeling discouraged.

Have any of you had to repeat weeks? Which ones?

  • Im staying on week 4 for a while until I can really handle it. those 5min runs kill me..

  • I've been on week 3 for a while now. I took a six week break and decided to pick it back up with week 2, one day and week 3 the next. I'm starting week 4 today and expect I'll be on it for a while.

  • I've noticed that many people seem to stagnate at around the 4 to 5 week mark. I think plateauing is pretty normal in any fitness plan. My suggestion would be, if you're heading into your third repetition of a week, that it's time to get creative and change things up to jolt your body out of it's rut. Change up the time of day that you run, the route you run, which treadmill you use. Pick a point (a tree or a telephone pole) at the end of every running leg and try to go a bit harder until you reach that point. Even go back to W1D1 and instead of jogging go as hard as you can for all 8 running legs. If you find a playground on your route, pause your run and climb all over it like a kid for 5 or 10 minutes!! :D Fitness really does seem to thrive on change and novelty. :)
