found this bike ninja purity test online. it was designed by someone at MIT. must be legit. are you a bike ninja? find out.

    no extra points. 96 is enough. (i am a little concerned though. no mention of beards for the men. nor is their a question about balaclavas. makes me wonder if this test wasn't developed by a bike jedi.)

    trainer baby miles = -10! unless they were done while making a video to mock trainer babies. then they're +20!

    My score is 105. I got hammered on the quality bike section, all my bikes are "crap" by comparison, or have high end non-road bike components.

    i only scored a 78. i have not been any races. (unless races with your friends as a kid count.) i do not commute. (i live next door to my work place. wouldn't be much of a commute.)

    i'm beginning to doubt the accuracy of this test, jeff. as i mentioned earlier in my response to kevin. there is no mention of beards or balaclavas. those seem like glaring omissions to me. i'll give you a bonus point for refusing to subtract 1 for living in TX.

    i emailed the guy who made this test about what score would conclusively prove bike ninjahood. this was his response:

    "i have no idea. if you're a bike ninja, i think you'll know."

    so i you know you are a bike ninja, your numbers are interesting, but irrelevant.

    so it doesn't matter that I got a 35 ? ( I've only been riding for 5 months- and those 5 months have been winter months.The warmest ride I've been on was 45 F.) I plan to improve this summer lots.... or so I tell myself that!

    your score does not matter. you are a bike ninja. you have proved it by your cold weather rides. you will improve with warmer weather and master the art of cycling. (had no idea you were so new to the sport. keep riding!)
