  • Well, most relaxing has got to be child's pose no matter what, but I actually love downward dog after running.

(great idea for a group. After my daily yoga/pilates last week, I've done none this week :( I hope to do some this weekend after my long run)

  • Pigeon for me too. Sometimes I lay my cheek on the ground, close my eyes, and am very reluctant to get back up.

  • Pigeon for me as well. I don't know if it's necessarily my most relaxing but definitely my favorite for stretching out - gets all the muscles that I need the most! I like a good down dog once I'm a little more stretched out as well!

  • The most relaxing pose I think is supported Child pose, where you have a pillow supporting your chest. I also love shoulder stand and find it very relaxing if you can stay in it for atleast 5 minutes.

  • Funny how many people mentioned the Pigeon... I thought it was just me!

  • Pigeon is my all-time fav. It's a fantastic hip-opener after all exercises. I do it at the end of my yoga classes when if it hasn't already been incorporated.

I start in child's then transition to down-dog. From down dog I go to pigeon. Go back to down dog and repeat pigeon with the opposite side. Down dog again and then to plank and then to up dog. Back to down dog and finally making a full-circle back to child's pose. I do this little sequence all the time :)
