Hello, I'm Dawn

Soon to be 45 yrs. Just not wanting to look like it. Recently stopped smoking. (5 days now) Hoping to lose 10 lb. before my birthday. Love to walk. Just wanting to get healthy.

  • Hi Dawn - congratulations on quitting. I quit over 2 years ago - and know it can be a challenge! I am 53 - so I am using walking to stay active and prepare for a comitment I made. I hope to lose weight - but usually don't (sigh) - but basically I am training to walk in the Avon Walk for Breast cancer in Chicago this June. I walked it last year - so know I can do it.

    Good luck and Happy Trails..

  • That's fantastic on quitting. Keep it up. If you somehow progress from walking to running, you'll never go back.

Thank You. I do have my moments but can't stand for something to have power over me. I am the one who controls me...... haha! Congrats! on your stopping. Do you find that you still want one sometimes? I hope we both lose some weight. Good Luck on your training. As you said "you can do it" I'd like to do something like that. My bestfriend just came through it last year. And my cousin is going through it now. She actually had to have her breast removed (35 yrs. old) with 2 little girls. Sad. Hope to talk again.
