I have been following column 3 and doing 5 sets of push ups each time. Not sure if this is right, but it seems to work :-) So i go straight (vertically) down column 3. But if that's the case, i don't know why it would categorize you into levels 1-5 instead of just 1-3, w/ 3 being 10 push ups or more. hmmm.

ok I just re-read it and i think you should be in column 3 (10 or more push ups) and go vertically down the list, resting the appropriate amount of time in between. That's how i interpret the example they give on the website. that's how i've been doing it so i hope it's right! :-)

Rank is just to get a sense of where you stand. You should do the entire column, no matter what rank you are. Your max push-ups is what determines which column you're in.
