Since you're in Texas this may not be too much help. I wear base layers for snowboarding. They are breathable and light. I'll then just wear a sweatshirt and some thin yoga pants over them. I also got some fingerless workout gloves for running outside because it get chilly but my hands will get too hot if I wear regular gloves. I wear Burton base layers.

Thanks for the website tip. They carry the sports bras that I like. Now that I'm on a more regular workout schedule, I need to order a few more and Athleta doesn't carry them anymore. I have no tips on cold weather- I'm in Florida- but I do see a lot of cold weather gear in Athleta's catalog & online. And they do carry Tall sizes.

I run in New York and this is the first year that I am running in the winter - and it's been COLD! So, I wear running tights - a heavier weight than the ones I wear during other months of the year. Then I layer. The most I wear is three - a base layer, a short-sleeved top and a top running jacket. the top layer i only wear on super cold days - below 25 degrees. otherwise the two work fine. I wear a hat, a neck-muff and gloves, always with the gloves. Last weekend I got frostbite so I am out looking for thicker gloves!
