hydration

posted about 2 years ago | Report

Hi everyone,

Have been talking with Donna and Kenya in a comments thread, but wanted to expand the conversation.

Does anyone have any good suggestions for hydration? I once had a camelpak that tied around the waist, but it bounced around so much it drove me crazy! Does anyone know if bottle belts are any better in that regard? Or what about the Camelpak backpakcs?

God bless,
Chris

Now that it's been getting warmer, I've been thinking about hydration more and more. I'm convinced a bit of my lower leg cramping is due to dehydration in general. So, how do I hydrate? On runs longer than about 5 miles, I incorporate the many parks around town which offer free water! Who knew? Chlorinated, filtered, clean water. I've found parks and schools pretty evenly spaced throughout town, so if I can't hydrate on a run, it is my own fault.

Also, afterward I sip room temperature water for a couple of hours; cold water just doesn't go down as easily.

I'm considering the Gatorade 03 Recover drink, which I've heard positively reviewed by friends. Any thoughts on this?
