I thought I would share with everyone the basics of my winter training cycle. I have been doing 3 weeks of hard workouts followed by 1 week of easy workouts starting in November. During the 1 week easy you should be doing about half of the distance that you do in the other weeks. I used to do this with an old coach and a trainer also recommended that I adopt this cycle for the aerobic phase of training. I will probably do this through February. Just wanted to let you guys know in case you would want to do the same. That one week of easy training is so nice and you look forward to it when you are doing those 3 hard weeks.
