Anyone want to share their goals with the group?

I've never run more than 886 miles in one calendar year so my prime goal this year is to top the 1,000 mile mark.

That means running a measly 20 miles per week...should be doable.

  • Mike, that is doable. This year, I would like to get a little faster, at least to where I was time wise a few years back. This means I need to drop the excess weight, so there's the second part of what I need to do for this year. I am going to really work the training runs so that my endurance increases.

  • My goal - Dopey in 2013. Alot of work ahead of me, but it will be fun.

  • A few goals for this year:
    -12 races in 2012
    - In 2011 I actually ran 395 miles, I would like to bet that number this year
    - More strength training

  • Goals for the year:

    Run a Marathon in Under 3:15, run a 5K in under 19 minutes, run a Half in under 1:30.

    Lot of speed work and miles in my future.

    BUT BIGGEST GOAL- No Major Injuries! Know my boundaries and not push them further than they are capable of.

  • Yes, I will have a ton of miles. And to think the first time I went running was for the Wine & Dine Half marathon. No real running before that. Long way in a short time.
