"In Between" Days

posted over 2 years ago | Report

What do you do? I would love to be at the point where I could just go out and jog an easy 2 miles on my in between days, but my body isn't up for it yet. I have a rowing machine, and had intentions of doing that on my non running days and most likely I will once winter sets in. I find it so monotonous and boring, for now I'm still wanting to get every mile I can in on these country roads before the snow flies. So I am thinking about just power walking up and down the length of my road (2 miles) on my off days. Get my heart pumping, get some fresh air in these lungs, loosen up everything after my run the night before. Just wondering what you guys are doing?

  • Well, I power walked to W1 of G28K for 2 miles, have to say at this point I think that was still a bit of a push for my in between day, I'm still feeling it today and have a feeling of foreboding about today's run. Like it's gonna be ugly. *eek*.

  • I'm trying to build up to running 5-6 days of the week. I've done 5 days in one week and that was too much. I'm trying to cycle during the rest days now. I don't always get out there and do it, but I'm hoping that it becomes more of a habit in the next few months. Walking is a great rest day exercise and is definitely a good choice.
