Make sure you look at the course....

...it is posted on the Austin marathon website and unfortunately the course seems to have gotten a lot worse. I am tired of complaining about it, and have decided not to race it (just running easy) and just feel sad about the whole nightmare. Austin should be a city that can host a great marathon but unfortunately, it now doesn't have a nice course at all.
