1. Microfleece vest under light shell on really cold days with long sleeve base layer. Can unzip vest under shell and it still vents a good amount of heat and vest keeps core nice and toasty.

2. Balaclava on days below 0 deg F as it warms air before you breath it and it makes very cold air much easier to tolerate.

3. Change hats on long runs.
