Street Clean Up Saturday, March 27, 10:00am

posted almost 2 years ago | Report

The Olathe Running Club partners with the City of Olathe to "Adopt-a-Street". This program is a partnership between the City of Olathe and its citizens. This program will help build civic pride by beautifying Olathe city streets, increasing safety and decreasing litter and other pollutants through trash removal. Through the removal of hazardous materials along the roadside, this program will reduce pollutants going into our streams and lakes, thus aiding our environment. By beautifying Olathe we can live up to the Indian meaning of what Olathe means 'City Beautiful.'

We plan to have the first clean-up of 2010 on Saturday March 27th at 10am. We will meet at the northeast corner of Northgate and Harold (127th St) in the parking lot of the Public works building. Safety vests, gloves and trash bags will all be supplied.
Please dress accordingly, it could be very wet and sloppy.
