Hey! I'd love to connect with other barefoot runners. I get a lot of crazy looks on the trail when I'm running barefoot or in my funky VFFs. I feel somewhat like an alien.

  i had a run last week, i was in missouri, and i ran in my fivefingers in the rain. there were a surprising number of people out walking in the rain, in my opinion. anyhow, when i got back i told my wife that people were giving me weird looks. i said it was because i was running in the rain. she looked at me like i was crazy or something. umm....no, its because of your shoes.

  Yes, many weird looks. You can pretty much spot readers of 'Born to Run' as they look less puzzled and more excited.

  Unless they shoot at you, I would take those looks as a sign of your own enlightenment. If they shoot at you, take those looks as a sign to run faster.
