I am going to start a night runners group in rockford and was wondering if it is illegal to run at night in state parks (i.e rockcut). Also is it best to start at dusk or later/earlier?

  I think it all depends on the park. Most close at dark, but honestly, I'm sure they could care less if your going for a run. They are more afraid of the kids boozing.

  Personally, I like to run later. Mostly to get my body use to running while tired.
