Yep!
Would love to hear about what you have learned. I'm just getting into my first Triathlon (six weeks away) and nutrition is the biggest question I have.
Congrats on your 4 Ironmans! That is a goal of mine down the road.

Great! Once you do one Ironman you get hooked.
My biggest issue with nutrition is the pre-events...meeting with friends/teammates for dinner the day before the race. I always try to bring along some pre-made food and hope that the hotel has a mircowave. There are alot of great GF bars out there to make it a little easier.
For racing I rely on GU's and bananas but there a lot of other options out there. What is the distance of your upcoming tri?

Love it. Doing a half in August, we will see how I do!
Pre events could be really tough with all the emphasis on carbo loading.
Do you use clif bars? What is your favorite GF race food?
I have two sprints, a long bike race and then a half iron coming up.

I'm gluten free!!!! I've been addicted to Luna bars, but I know they have oats in them. I do fine with them but others might now. And bannannas. :)
The bread thing really does suck.... luckly walmart's got gluten free noodles now (at least where I am!) so that helps.
Whole foods!!! That's the best place in the world.posted almost 3 years ago | Report

How do you do with the race provided sports drinks? I never really have the sports drinks during workouts, so don't really know how I react.
Any tips / hacks? Pack your own at the transitions?
