I say take it easy on your 1 mile days, Karen, especially if you are training for a half. You don't want to get burned out. Good luck to you!

First, I don't mind at all that you started the Week 1 thread.
Second, I agree with Chris... if you are in training for a specific event then feel free to make your 1 mile runs easy-peasy. I'd hate for you to do anything that might mess with your upcoming half!

I had a little set back this week due to some health crap -- I missed 2 days. But I'm making up for them. I did two runs today already, and I'm planning another two tomorrow to make up for it... hope that counts!

Good job Karen.
I did my runs for the week, I did have to do a dual-day since I was traveling all day on Thursday. However, I'm concerned about Week 2. I'm having some pretty severe pain in my hip/glute/hamstring/something... I need to work that out, but my 10K yesterday hurt.

I had a great week with the challenge. I thought I might get worn out with running everyday, but that wasn't the case at all. In fact, it motivated me to work out a little more. It was a case of "well, I have to run a mile anyway so I might as well also do some weight training". Besides, I have never been good of warming up before weight training like I am supposed to do. The 1 mile days as I like to call them, took care of that for me.
On to Week 2!

Made it through week one. Was recovering from a bug that's been going around, but, I think that's finally going away. Next week should be better and I'm hoping to increase mileage a little.
