Monday, February 2, 2009 Check-in

Ah, a new week! Don't forget to check in those push-ups :)

A few people have mentioned that you should compliment a chest workout with a back workout (like rows). I couldn't agree with this more.

In fact, with push-ups you can work out 3 of the 5 major upper body regions (biceps, triceps, and pectorals/chest), which leaves just 2 regions to work out (lats/back and traps/shoulders).

  • 200 - done.

8 sets today 30, 25, 20, 25, 27, 30, 30, 13. I'm shooting to lower that to 6 sets this Wednesday... they'll have to be spread out, but the push-up muscles are definitely adjusting so I might hit it!

  • 50x4 today, but I had a crazy day and had to spread them out a bit. I'd like to get to where I can do that with only a short break/core workout between.

  • Getting back up to full power... 50x4 for the day. Only two more days to go? Oh my!

  • Finished mine up during Cycle/Strength class at noon, but haven't posted 'til now. A bit disjointed considering that today was supposed to be all out: 54, 57, 15, 15, 40, 9, 10.

  • Had another busy/hectic day, so I ended up getting them in from 11 - midnight. 80/80/40
