So... where to meet worthy men in SF

I just have to throw this out there. I'm recently single in the city and am completely unaware of the dating scene here. A lot of my guy friends swear by match.com and the like... but I'm not sure if it's for me.

Any suggestions??

    library, university, gym or on the road. you should meet a guy at a place you enjoy going to that is healthy for both of you. crap after responding i just realized i guess i shouldn't have answered this, huh? just pretend i'm in the SF bay women's group LOL.

    Dude, beats the hell out of me...I am also recently single after 3 years. I have not a clue where to meet people. In the end, I think it usually just happens. You can't go looking for it.

    A few people in the bay area have met their hubby's on match.com. I would try it if I were single. :)

    I did Match.com for 6 weeks two years ago and then closed it down. It was just a pickup place for guys...no wonder the guys like it. It wasn't for me at all.

    I am single again, too after 1 1/2 yrs of dating someone who couldn't make up his mind. I dunno where the men are, but I hear they like to hang out out cool sports bars; certainly sporting events where we gals would hang out.

    I dunno.......I'm at a lost.
