Running of course!
Got in 3.5 on tm at gym this morning. Probably last time I can take advantage of early run since dd goes back to school on Monday and I'll be driving her. Unless I can coax 21yo dd to drive her since she's still home from college.
BIL in town so going out to dinner tonight with him and nephew.
Hoping to get a long run in tomorrow morning since it's supposed to rain/sleet on Sat night and all day Sun.

What do you have going on today?

  • Good morning!
I also did 3.5 today outside. It was in the mid-30s and not too windy but for some reason I really struggled. A very slow short run. I hope to do a longer one tomorrow but will have to get out early. Yet another Bar Mitzvah to go to, and it starts at 11.
A little work today, then I am taking DS2 to get his passport. Hope there isn't a long line.

I'm hoping for a long run tomorrow too!
shorter runs are the hardest for me, but at least they're over quickly (relatively).

  • Was wondering if I should rest today after my big "race"! :) But I feel great and would really like to get out there. The wind is currently making it rather difficult (50mph gusts) however I am hoping it will die down this afternoon. If not, I may plan a one-way run with the wind at my back and have a ds pick me up at the end.

resting after you put out a good effort is usually a good choice. can you ride a bike (probably not in 50mph gusts!) or do yoga. otherwise keep it really slow or maybe just go for a nice walk. You're seeing most of us after recovering from overuse injuries...seemed like almost all the >40 ladies had something going on with them at end of October becuase of pushing the mileage in end of summer/fall. Or I could just be speaking for myself as I'm still getting over plantar fascistis.

  • I did two shorter workouts on the treadmill today-work was a killer so time was premium today (one at lunch for 15 minutes and one after dinner for 30 minutes before running out to see my daughter sing in a coffee house)--weather was brutally cold and I had run 4 days in a row (even if it was only 2 miles) i had never run that many days in a row before .../thought it might be a good day to take it easy :)
