(Over 40) Women Runners

I think this will be a great place for support and to track my workouts. I am bad about logging my miles and use my Garmin for this. Problem is I sometimes use the treadmill and it doesn't work or I leave it home( God forbid).

I am 53. Been running 3 years this April. I have done 4 half marathons, 2 10 milers( Cherry Blossom), multiple 10K, 5 milers/8Ks, 5Ks and even mile track races.

I am not fast. I would say I am a middle of the packer. I like to see improvements in my times but realistically my goal is to keep running right now because I have a horrible back. Sciatica isn't fun but I deal with it and keep on going.

My goal this year is to run a marathon. I have decided to race only the key races in my training program while I train from May to October. I am not going to do every race in the area and focus on my miles.

My next race is Shamrock HM with Cherry Blossom 10 miler 2 weeks later and a 10K a month after that. Then the marathon training will begin.
