  • Hey guys, due to my lack of medical insurance, I have to cancel on this ride. Just don't want to risk it.

    So yea...

  • mmmm okay, thats a pretty weak excuse, I mean you do Red Rock, you did ur "58 mile ride" so I mean..whats the difference? But if you dont want to go just say your not going. Dont use medical insurance as a wall stopping you, because I don't have medical insurance and that's not even going through my mind while I ride my bike

  • can i say we dont have much of team going....not that my living in cali helps any but we should work on that...maybe next event we can get it together....(ps that event being the redlands classic, which we are doing, no question about it)

    that's funny...coming from you...

  • so why is that funny coming from me? you should explain smart ass responses and if you mean the one time I didn't ride red rock with you than okay? but that was once, i think i remember you dodging and bailing on at least 4 rides. but whatever if you don't like riding bike as much as some of us thats cool, but you've bought 3 bikes so far..and have ridden less than 600 miles in the past 6 months. "that's funny"

Maybe you should've just respected my decision instead of making snide comments about my "mileage". Don't get me wrong, I LOVE biking; I commute to school everyday and love every second of it. But going to another state to do a tour where I hardly know anybody, the route, etc. is just too much of a risk for me, ESPECIALLY since I don't have insurance (and yes I do think is a good reason).

But hey, you're riding without medical insurance as well, and I commend you for doing so, but DO NOT compare YOUR situation to mine, as you don't know me.

Yes, what I thought was "funny" was you talking about ME bailing on the ride, when it was YOU who bailed on me without even thinking of letting me know. At least I let you guys know ahead of time. It was a big deal to me because I barely have enough time to ride as I want, let alone being able to use the car that my Mom and I share.

It's cool though, because at least this little exchange was like a therapy session, brought out what you REALLY think. Now go mileage boy GO!

  • rofl. i already explained that situation I didn't have ur number because my phone was broken, I was up and messaged david on AIM that day and told him about it but even then u decided not to ride that day, but I guess you scheduled 3 other rides with me after that and probably bailed on purpose to teach me a lesson lol.

But i still rode all those days even though you would say the morning of or the nite before, "hey im not gonna ride, i'm not feeling it" but if you dont know that this is what someone would think about you when you don't ride but yet try and pull off this persona that you love riding even though you don't, than get a clue.

I couldn't care less if you go or not, I just thought that your reasoning for not going was hilarious, because the tiny amount you ride. you still ride in las vegas....you can get hit by a car right outside your house, if anything this ride is safer than any ride you do within the city...these roads are wide open no traffic and there are hundreds of other cyclist, but if you think this ride is going to be dangerous, for some odd reason, than thats fine.

I said what I said because I just got tired of always hearing you back out from group rides but it is what it is. but sure "go mileago boy go" thats me! I stack miles because I love riding bike, not because i love stacking miles. Have Fun!

I like how you say that you "couldn't care less" if I go or not when ALL I said was I can't go on this ride, and this prompted you to start talkin shit. You also talk about the tiny amount that I ride and yet you say you don't care about stacking miles. A bit contradictory there eh? And no, I don't pull a "persona" because I don't feel the need to prove myself to anybody.

I'm done, it's apparent that you already had it out for me since I started riding. Next time just say it to my face instead of waiting for an opportunity to talk shit online.

    p.s.
    - you didn't message David, he had to message YOU about you not showing that day. Apparently you were already on AIM that morning, but didn't think to message David to call me that you weren't gonna show.

  • me saying all these things just happened to come out at this time, but its everything added up, all the group rides you ditch out on..Sabrina and I were hoping that you wouldn't flake, but I pretty much knew u were going to...but its whatever I have nothing against you as a person, your just annoying when it comes to being a cyclist partner.

Your getting the references confused about when I talk about myself. and when I talk about you, but whatever. i don't feel bad for not caring... do what you will and how can i say it to your face, when u never show? i have no problem repeating everything I say here to you in person if you'd like so you can understand where im coming from a little better. If thats what you need.

If it was just about the insurance, you wouldn't have had to gone this far, all I said was that shouldn't be an excuse becaues you ride around vegas whenever you please, but i guess you don't need med insurance to ride around in vegas but in Utah its a must....thats all I was saying in my statement, than you had to come out with your smart ass response about me not being a reliable rider when I have only not showed up once, compared to your numerous amount of times.

So this shit talking online was because of your "thats funny.. coming from you" response. But ya i have nothing really else to say. If and when you start riding more often thats awesome david, sabrina, matt and I are always down.
