I'm planning on going in 2010, but I'll be nowhere near finish time, as a) I'm older than you, and b) I'm a girl. But (and it stuns me to type this) I'M GOING TO BOSTON!!!

The best corral IMHO is first corral 2nd wave - you get your own gun, lead vehicle etc. When they say go, you go - no waiting around. That's the corral I was assigned and it's the corral I think I'll start from this year too even though I'm sure I'll be in wave 1 this time around.

My Boston story starts in 2003, when I ran my first Marathon (Portland, Or) in 3:16. Not good enough, as I need a 3:10:59. Next up was Vancouver Marathon in the Spring of 2004. This time I was closer, but not close enough (missed it by 9 seconds, yes SECONDS). After a couple of years off from marathoning, I tackled the 2007 Philly Marathon and cracked the 3:10 mark (3:09:40). I MADE IT! I MADE IT TO BOSTON!!
I had the option of doing Boston '08 or '09. Our baby was due the day of the '08 marathon, so I wisely decided to put it off a year. Sooooo . . . . . .. . .

I was in the second corral, second start last year, and it was great! I would much rather run first corral second start than last corral first start.
