training ideas for 6 man 205 mile relay team?

We are entering an 'ultra team' of 6 into a 205 mile relay this spring. We all have some ideas about what works for us and we have all done lots of marathons and halfs with training plans. There does not seem to be a plan for this configuration (at least none I could find). Any advice from the ultra runners forum? Anyone ever done this?

  • I did one a couple years ago.... We had a team of 8 and we did 331km (lol, just checked the conversion on that, same distance). It was a lot of fun. Will you be running all night? Are there mandatory brake time?

    As for training plans, I basically modified a half marathon program but I took my long run distance, split it in half and did half Friday morning, half Friday evening, and then again Saturday morning. Does that make sense???

    Here's what it would look like... The schedule said to do 20km long run, do
    10km Friday morning
    10km Friday evening
    10km Saturday morning
    then rest on Sunday.

    I didn't do that every week, but usually 2 or 3 week out of the month.
