has anyone ever been in charge of medical management on race day? Our club has a large half marathon in September and I am supposed to coordinate medical. I am a nurse not a doctor. I am not sure what a nurse can legally do in a medical tent like starting IVs and giving fluids. In the past two years there has been a medical doctor who brings nurses with him from his practice. They are advances practice nurses so more then a registered nurse. He won't be there this year. I know my husband got an IV and fluids a few years ago. I don't see a clear cut medical plan for race day and hate taking on this huge responsibility but I have said yes to the race director. Looking for insight and experience in this.
