IMO, it might decrease your hunger or cravings but I think it would lead to a seriously poor workout.

Oh man, so not true. Running might make you crave *healthier* foods (e.g. those that will hydrate you more), but I've never found that adding exercise makes me less hungry. Quite the opposite. In fact, isn't that the argument in some of the recent stuff on why adding exercise doesn't help people lose weight?

I agree that aerobic exercise could suppress your hunger, but that's just my opinion.
Also, concerning running with no fuel. To this day I've never ate anything before my long runs. I would eat supper the evening before and if that helped then so be it. But never anything the morning of my run. I did try it a few times, and my 20-miles wasn't any faster or I didn't feel any more energized. So I think it's possible to not eat and run. Have a great evening. God Bless "You & Your-Family" is my Dailymile Prayer...+

Running make me eat MORE! haha Because your body is burning more calories and therefore it wants to be fed accordingly. Even though I might not want to feed it!

Haha, that's hilarious. Running on an empty stomach is not a good feeling and within 30 min of running I'm pretty hungry. Depending on my mileage for the week I need snacks between meals that I wouldnt normally need. So no definitely not a hunger suppressant. Maybe this is different for shorter distances...

I would not run for hunger suppressant whether it worked or not. I would be afraid of it leading to an obsession with losing weight. That being said, I don't think it would be wise. If you run, run to be healthy and then eat healthy foods to go with it. Depending on my mileage for a day or the intensity of my run depends on how much I eat. I may eat an extra protein packed snack or two protein packed lunches but that's about it. Now if I do a 15+ mile run? Then I eat a lot more that day because my body burned a lot of storage and I need to refuel.

Complete malarkey! Since I've started running I've tripled the amount of food I eat, it's like I can't get full anymore.

Aside from the alarming fact that your body will start eating away at your muscles for lack of calories it needs for energy, the idea that you would use exercise to suppress hunger is a really really bad one.
Now, I know every single person is different. Some can eat a full meal before a run and be fine, others have to wait until it's over or can just stand a few nibbles before. But, no matter, your body needs calories. So please please please FEED it.
To be honest, this sounds like the practice of someone with an eating disorder. I'd be very wary.
