I used halhigdon.com training plans in the past and liked them a lot and got good results but also check jeff galloway plans and think runnersworld.com has some free generic plans as well.
I got w/ yogurt or soft pretzel for breakfast before my races usually but that's me. try it out in training and see what works for you and your stomach

I also use Hal Higdon - I'll second Joe on that one! they're great programs. He also gives great advice on twitter and facebook.
