What do people know about Isagenix?

asked over 2 years ago | Report

My friend is on the isagenix train and is trying to get me on board. I am wondering if there is real information (facts not testimonials) out there on what it does for the body and if it is actually healthy for you? I read that if you eat a healthy diet normally it is the same thing.

  • If you read that eating a healthy diet will supple you with all the necessary nutrients for healthy living and endurance sports, you likely read something published by the medical community to discount the need for supplements. You cannot get everything you need from even the healthiest of diets, and I'm talking 9 fruits and veggies a day. Our land no longer provides the trace nutrients and minerals needed for optimal health. Isagenix is a solid, no-compromise nutrition company that can supplement the necessary nutrients that you are missing. The product formulator for the company is world respected and the products are the best on the market. You have nothing to lose by trying program and everything to gain. • I'm going to disagree with Jane. I eat a whole foods vegan diet and don't take any supplements at all (other than turmeric, and I consider that a food). I recently had my blood panel work up and every value was in its ideal range. You can see my after pics on my photos page. I've lost 70 pounds and am a competitive swimmer and triathlete at age 37, after having two babies and being sedentary for 10 years.

  • Amber, I commend your dedication to a healthy lifestyle. I however have to disagree with you. I'm certain that your blood work would show normal ranges. Blood work however is just a small snapshot of health. I can give numerous references to vitamin and mineral deficiencies in even the best dietary profiles, ESPECIALLY for athletes. The most recent was in Hammer Nutrition's Endurance Newsletter http://www.hammernutrition.com/downloads/ENews/ENissue66.pdf Our food no longer contains the essential minerals and trace minerals necessary for optimal health and performance due to industrial farming practices that have stripped the soils of it's mineral content. You are relatively young and may not yet be experiencing the disastrous effects of demineralization from lack of supplementation. I am currently working with a 52 yo female competitive marathoner who has been on a raw vegan diet and now has 2 thoracic compression fractures and advanced osteoporosis.
