Hello Daily Milers!

posted almost 2 years ago | Report

My name is Sharon and I am fairly new to DM and I am loving it! I have checked out other running communities but this is by far the best! I'm on injury status right now, but I am hoping that I can get back to my usual running habit sooner rather than later. I think the DM is just what I need to help me stay motivated!

  • Welcome Sharon!
Hope the Injury status passes soon. hopefully before it turns hot and muggy down your way!

  • Hi Sharon, welcome to DM!! So sorry to hear of you being sidelined with an injury, but I dare say you have come to the right place to find folks that will help you get though this. Look at it as being a minor set back in the big picture, you will be back at it before you know it. Sending positive thoughts your way, get better soon!

  • Thanks for the warm welcome Bo and Rob! I've had a persistent high hamstring tendonopathy for about 9 months now and it is really starting to get me down. I've done PT and a cortisone injection, but the most effective thing so far has been a PRP injection. I would say that thanks to PRP I am 75% healed, although there are still bad days here and there. I will go back for one more PRP shortly and I am hoping to be 100% after that! Reading about other people's training accomplishments as well as their set backs and how they work through them helps me to work through my own issues. Runners are good people!

  • I have a question for you all....why does DM not take half miles into account for my total miles? I notice that it rounds the mileage up. I'm just wondering what the purpose of this is....I don't mind it making me look better than I really am ; )
