Wow!! Great job, Doug! I have to admit, I didn't fare so well. I only lost a few pounds. But, February is a new month. Keep up the good work, and congrats on the weightloss!

I hit about 560 miles on my trainer/rollers. I won't go into details about the weight that I accidentally lost while trying to maintain weight, though.

Despite the wet weather, still clocked my target miles on the bike. Currently on track to achieve my goals by October this year. Can't wait for the weather to get a little better and the training rides to begin.

Overall I can't complain. Acomplished an average distance at a higher overall intensity, and managed to build more muscle and maintain my weight. =)

wow, congrats on the 14 lbs!! Isn't the dailymile population so motivating?
My January kinda sucked. Started out on New Years day with a great 5k...and spent basically the rest of the month nursing an angry metatarsal. Darn foot! Logged a total of 26 whole miles for the month, haha! But I am on the mend now, and excited for February!

Great start to the year for me. Ran something like 160 miles as I tried to increase my mileage after my Achilles gave me some problems in the late fall. Thought I had that injury beat, but it's been nagging me lately. It was basically a base-building month as I prepare for my 16-week marathon training program, which begins next week for a May 29 marathon. Hoping to stay healthy enough to do the program as specified.

I fell just shy of my goal to run 200 miles in January: 190 miles logged. That's ok though, my goal is to run 2400 in 2010. I can make it up if I stick with it. I've only had one week dip below 50 so far.

My January was pretty good. I logged a few less miles than I had hoped, but I logged significantly more minutes exercising (including yoga, strength training and cross-training) than I have in the past. I'm pretty pleased that I've stayed consistent at through the winter so far.
Congrats on the weight loss!

Way to go!!! I'm new, as well. Just joined on Thursday. I ran my first 10k Saturday, and I never thought I would. Stick with your plan, and I hope your February is even better! Keep up the great work!

Congrats on the 14 lbs... That's great!
For me, I've upped my distance on weekends to a total of 25km on a path to 30km on a weekend (2 15Ks). I also ran nearly every day (big change from December where there we so many interruptions. On my weight loss side... I've dropped about the same weight, about 14 -15 lbs. So January was a good month. And, February is starting out pretty good as well.
