New to DM.. Seeking friends for motivation

My name is Kim and I have been running (jogging) off and on for about 3-4 years. In 2006, I hit my heaviest weight -- almost 250 lbs. I was mortified, so I joined a gym and changed my eating habits.

I lost about 40 pounds by 2008 and hit a plateau, so I started running. I ended up getting up to 3 miles at a time and completed two 5Ks in 2010. I got through the plateau and lost close to 20 more pounds. I stopped running last year when I had a problem with back pain and gaining back about 12 pounds. So I am now back at 200 pounds and very motivated to get back out there.

I started running again off and on in March, but just got consistent with it in June. I increased my maximum distance to 4 miles about two weeks and joined DM at that time. I am looking for some friends out there who can motivate me to stay committed and give me some pointers on how to increase my distance and speed.
