new here, training for my first 1/2

Hi there. Just wanted to introduce myself - I am new to daily mile and currently training for my first 1/2 marathon. I planning to do the Long Island 1/2 in May - anyone out there doing that?

I generally run 3-4 miles three times a week with a day of cross training (elliptical, biking or walking) and a long run, which I'm increasing in length.
