I used KT tape on my knee when I first started running... I really thought it worked.. the only thing is that its is way too expensive for me to keep buying. I ended up buy a strap for my knee and it works just as good. I don't know what else you would use for your achilles.. If it works then keep using it..

It definitely is pretty expensive. I have a make shift strap made out of prewrap on my other knee for a different issue (I'm basically a walking injury haha) The strap didn't make much of a difference on the knee I use the tape on unfortunately.

I have had luck with it on my Achilles (tendonitis). I can tell a difference when I run with it and without. I can make it through longer runs with it on. I am on a two week rest before my Half to let it heal up but it will be taped for my race.

I've had mixed results, depending on what I've used it for. Totally worked on my shin splints. Not at all on my Achilles. At $14/roll, it's worth a try.

It is IMHO 100% snake oil.

I actually saw KT tape at Walgreens the other day; was surprised to see it there. Went to another Walgreens and they didn't have it, though.

I swear by KT Tape. I think it's a miracle product. Watch some of the tutorial videos at kttape.com to see how to properly use it on your achilles. I have used it on my achilles successfully.

Kinesio tape does work! I had pretty debilitating (couldn't barely move my legs) shin splints. I put it on, and within the FIRST RUN I felt much better and pain free. I'd highly recommend it!

Doesn't make a damn bit of difference for my Achilles.
It worked wonders on my shin splints.
guess it depends on if the injury you have is supported by being held together by stretchy tape. I don't buy the 'increased blood flow' argument, but there's a certain supportive effect of taping in general. For my shin splints, I think it just took the shock away from the connective tissue. I tried it on alternate legs. the leg with the tape was perfect, the one without hurt.
At $14 a roll- it's dirt cheap if it works and gets you through a race or a few weeks of critical training. or, it's expensive if it doesn't work.
