Hi Dave. I use KT tape (when needed) as it was recommended by my athletic trainer. I have used it on my IT bands and on my knee.
You need to clean the area with rubbing alcohol before you apply. I also use an adhesive that you can pick up at any local pharmacy to help keep it in place. There are plenty of you tube videos that can show you how to apply the tape.
