First place to check:
Tri on the Run: http://www.site.triontherun.com/
Which has a group training schedule. As far as tri-specific groups, I'm not overtly aware of any, but I haven't been looking for any either. Checking with the big bike shops (Bike Barn, Planetary Cycles, and Bike Sport) should yield some results better than I can give here. For cycling, all the above mentioned stores have some quality weekend rides with skill levels to accommodate anyone.

thank you so much for the info, I have passed it on to her. With any luck she will be racing her first TRI this summer!

I'm a little late to this question, but I'm a member of Huston Racing Triathlon Club (www.houstonracing.com) and the members frequently arrange swims, rides, and runs for members of all all skill and experience levels. Check out the website, or send me a message on dailymile for more info.

thanks so much for the info... I haven't talked to her in awhile so not sure if she found a group or not. I passed on the club info to her though.
