I really enjoy Karl King's products. He is very knowledgeable in endurance nutrition, and has created a great line of no-frills, but very effective products.
He'll also personally answer any nutrition based questions. NFI... his products and advice have been a huge help after years of stomach problems.

I just got some Zipfizz from Costo and I'm liking it so far. But I don't know anyone else who uses it.
I'm also really sold on Clif products, so you might want to check anything that's Clif or Luna branded.

Gatorade, it's simple, dissolves quickly and tastes pretty good.......sometimes the oldies are still the goodies! I also like Hammer HEED in Mandarin!

i actaully do like either G2 or Powerade zero - not so sicky sweet as some of the others out there, but also not as many carbs... guess i'm old fashioned - give me a banana and a propel invigorating water (with a touch of caffeine) and i'm good to go

I've recently started using Accelerade with decent results. Doesn't taste very good(orange flavor) but my body took to it fine. Recently I diluted it more than the instructions say and it was a bit easier to stomach. I still like a 50/50 mix of water and gatorade though.

how do you not puke the accelerade up? yuk... yuk... yuk... i have an odd stomach - once i've puked something up, i can't do it again - its why i don't drink beer either:-)

Gatorade likes me, I like it. Carry powdered Orange on the bike for 2 refills.

I use old fashioned Gatorade. I tried cytomax once, and I was burping up the stuff during my entire run. Granted a single try isn't exactly scientific, but Gatorade gets the job done for me, so why try something else?

If you can get your hands on it, Maxim, from Europe is great stuff. It isn't quite as good as Extran was (discontinued from Europe) but it is the best I have found.

Just recently started using Vitalyte and I have to say I am impressed. It used to be called Gookinaid but the name was changed. Check your local shop for it or you can buy it online.

I actually did a podcast with Kalr from Succeed! about 6 months ago. Very knowledgable and a good podcast to checkout on nutrition, not becuase of our stellar interview skills but becuase he's really knows a lot about nutrition and endurance.

a side note.. I actually use Perpetum from Hammer and Clip from Succeed! just depends on what I feel like for the day. Both are roughly the same product. Calories, electrolytes and some protien. I use these in the longer 50k and above stuff. For shorter stuff I will use water, clif shot blocks, and some E Caps.

I really have a hard time with Cytomax. HEED's been pretty good to me though, and the orange flavor's pretty good!

I've been using Nuun tablets, and really like it. It's like Gatorade, but without the sugar.

I'm a Gatorade guy. Easy to find anywhere and everywhere. Sometimes I'll cut it a bit with water... But some of these exotic sports drinks are expensive, and I've never found one that I could tell was any better than the Gator.
And on a long run I crave that unique salty-sweet taste!

I've never had a problem with Cytomax, I actually prefer it to Gatorade now, which has always made me kinda phlegmy when I run. When I registered early for the 2009 VA Beach Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon, they gave me a giant jug of the powder free as a gift, so I tried it. The taste took a few bottles to get used to, but once I did, I never looked back. I've taken it on 8 and 10 milers with no stomach problems at all and plan to take it on the Fleet Week Half Marathon this weekend.
It's the Tropical Fruit flavor by the way... I haven't tried any of the other flavors.

I use Infinit and love it because I can custom make my recipe of what's in it.

I have a super sensitive GI tract and have experimented with many products. Right now there are 4 different aids i use: Accelerade (for recovery), Enervit G-sport & GU2O (during shorter intense workouts) and Carbo-Pro (for endurance workouts) all with great success. Word of caution on Accelerade - best not to use during warm/hot weather (unless you can keep it cold) as the heat can turn the protein in the drink and hence adversely affect your digestive system. If you're not into sweets, consider G-sport or GU2O, they both have a very light fruity taste. And if you've never tried carbo-pro, you're missing out. It's like rocket fuel for the body. Awesome.

I use Infinit. Create your own formula based on your preferences. It works well for me. http://www.infinitnutrition.us/

This summer I tried Nuun for the first time, I've read great things about it...but it was really hard for me to stomach for some reason (taste reminded me of something I had to drink in preparation for a medical procedure last year, ick) so I've gone back to G2.

My favorite is made by Clif, it's 92% organic. Their Cran-Razz electrolyte is my favorite flavor. I also love their recovery formula. I don't do well with recovery products that have a lot of amino acids and the amount in the Clif recovery is just right for my system.

I'm with Lisa L. Clif Electrolyte Shot is a great hydration formula and much cheaper than buying Gatorade by the bottle (which contains HFCS!). In powdered form, you can mix it to your needs. For training/racing over 3hours, I mix Hammer plain Perpetuem for more calories and some protein

I guess I'm the first to say water. I do long runs on routes that pass by water fountains. I run with my dog and and she needs water too.
I sometimes carry GU packs and take then with water, but on 15+ mile runs. On those days I'll bring a few milk bones for Abbie.
I occasionally take Cytomax before I leave on a long run, especially if it's hot outside.

Gatorade? I NEVER use gatorade anymore, the sugar content of the supermarket 'sports drinks' is way too high. Might as well use the old method of a can of flat coke mixed with water, has all the same stuff in it plus some caffeine and costs half as much. Also it doesn't taste as gross as people say it does. Sugar makes me feel sick when it's hot or I'm going hard.
I've used Cytomax and Accelerade and had postive results with both. I prefer cytomax, it's worked very well for me. Accelerade was good but I found that it made me very gassy after using it. Used it for a few months and couldn't get around it so I switched to Cytomax. I found that Accelerade also started to taste gross when it got hot. I think it must be the protein in it. This year my team is sponsored by Infinit, so I'm going to switch over. Heard great things about them.
