I'm an intermediate triathlete and would like a better framework for training for my first 70.3

  • You can find a couple of links at TriNationOnline for free half training plans. There's a 20 week beginner plan and the other is a 18 week intermediate plan. I'm currently using the 18 week intermediate plan and it's not bad. The only thing I don't like is that the plan doesn't have any scheduled bricks so I plan on doing 1 each week on the lighter mileage bike days starting 6 weeks ahead of my scheduled race.

  • I've got two: one Triathlete Week by Week Training plans (all types!) and the second one is a plan I found on BeginnerTriathlete.com - I'm a silver member which gives me access to all plans. I used one for my first half marathon and nailed it. It's a good one. I'm presently training for a 70.3 in September :)

  • BeginnerTriathlete.com has some good programs and a custom program builder (may have to be a member, I joined as it was well worth it).

  • I am working on Super Simple Half Ironman 16week training program I found in the Triathlete Mag. I did make a few changes to work for my schedule.

I found it in the August 2010 edition
