Do you have an iPod/iTunes? There is a Nike+ workout playlist you can download called Lance Armstrong: Run Longer. It has some pretty good/motivating songs. Also once downloaded to the iPod you have the choice of just listening to the music or doing the workout where Lance talks you through an interval workout.
I find I need to change my playlist every 3 weeks or I get bored. Currently mine has some Muse, Barenaked Ladies, Katy Perry, Ludacris, Franz Ferdinand, Queen.

My list is mostly up tempo stuff and spans a range of styles and artists. Mostly I'm looking of well paced noise... I'm not really paying that much attention to the music so I'm mostly looking for pleasant sounding and a good beat. Beyond that... really good lyrics are lost on me while running because I'm not really hearing the lyrics anyway.

First and foremost, I am an old guy. How old? Well, let's just say I had an 8 track tape player in my car at one time.
My favorite play list is a contains a variety of rock tunes by classic artists, such as Uriah Heep, Procol Harum, Deep Purple, Rainbow, Golden Earring, Ted Nugent, and Ozzie Osbourne. The Nuge and and the Oz, I'm sure most people recognize from the news and\or reality TV shows; the other bands - not so much.
The music's not for everybody, but it works for me.

It depends on how far I want to run and how fast I want to run.
For the really long runs, mostly the Allman Brothers Band.
For fast runs:
Old Metallica
the Ramones
Dio
Social Distortion
Bad Religion
Iron Maiden
