Hi there!

While I'm not new to running, I'm new to Dailymile and haven't quite grasped how everything works yet. I trained for a half-marathon at the beginning of the year, but strained my knee a week before my race and didn't heal in time to compete. I've let it rest since May and have just picked running back up. I'm not exactly sure if I'm running just for fun or to retrain for a half (leaning towards the later), but I think this is a really cool way to track progress and build community! None of my friends are runners, so it's a very solo hobby for me right now. Fingers crossed I'll actively stick with it! :)

Howdy, I've been using Dailymile to track my stuff for a few months now. And like you am just starting to figure out how this all works. I'm training for a Half Marathon (Pikermi) in January. Hope your knee holds up and you stick with it!

  • That's fantastic! The mental battle, for me, was the hardest part about working my way up to 13 miles. After that, it's not too bad. :) Thanks!
