NYC marathon 2012

After 3 years of being denied I finally got my automatic in for the race of my life. Just wondering what other fellow DMers are doing NYC. My training plan start Monday. Eeek! This will be marathon #5 for me, but I'd love to keep up with what others are doing for training.

Also any pre/post race tips would be awesome for anyone who has run NYC in the past. Thanks!

    Jenny - I am doing the NYC Marathon as a charity runner. I entered the lottery last year and this year but didn't get in. I could have had guaranteed entry in 2014 if I tried the lottery again next year (2014 will be the last year they have the "3 and you're in" rule), but my husband qualified this year and I wanted to run with him so I went the charity route. This will be my first marathon (and probably my only one!). Just joined Daily Mile, looking for some others who are running NYC. Good luck with your training!

    I also was a 3 time loser in the lottery and got the automatic entry this year, Its my 1st 26.2 and I am following hal higdon novice 1 plan since 7/1/12.
