What kind of mileage are you planning to do, and what is your goal time? Do you have experience with speedwork?

I used to run XC in high school and college so I have experience training for this distance- it's just been awhile and I cant remember exactly what our training used to be. I have no idea what to expect for a time but am hoping I can run as fast as I did in school! we'll see....

Here's another good one that I used for about a year, loved it because I only ran 3x a week and most plans have you train 5-6 days a week which didn't fit my schedule:

Try this plan: http://kalamazooarearunners.com/Training/KAR_5K_Training_High_Schedule.pdf
It's a peak of about 45 mpw and has some speedwork, plus 10-12 mile long runs. It's basically what I'm doing, but I'm running a few extra miles because I have a half I need to finish as well.
