What would happen if I cut the sleeves off of a running tech t-shirt

asked 11 months ago | Report

I have more than enough short sleeve running shirts from races. Problem is I don't like wearing a shirt at all, much less a shirt with sleeves. Though some times I need to wear a shirt of some sort. I'd hate to buy a sleeveless running shirt when I have so many already. Has anyone done this, what happened to the mesh?

  • I cut off the sleeves of a lot of my t-shirts. Nothing happens to the mesh, its just like wearing a regular sleeveless shirt.

    1. Cut off the sleeves close to the seam of the sleeve and you'll now have a great looking, sleeveless shirt.

    2. You'll now be able to show off your chiseled arm muscles.

    3. Your mileage will increase due to your arm now being free to help propel your body.

  • Most tech fabrics can be cut like any woven fabric. The only ones you want to watch how you cut are the more open knits... these take some care because they can easily come apart if you remove too much of the seams that lock the fabric's knit in place.
