Has anyone ever used KT Tape?

asked 3 months ago | Report

What's your opinion of it? I've had knee sprains with patellar subluxation in my left knee twice, and it has never been the same since. I hate wearing braces on my knee it limits my ROM and cuts into the back of my knee. I wanted to get some feedback before going out and trying it. Thanks!

  • I've used Kinesiotex tape which is similar. We have it at work. I think you can get KT tape at Sports Authority. KT tape has several online you-tube videos on taping technique. It's worth a try if you can avoid a sweaty uncomfortable brace.

  • I've used Kinesio Tex. Generally, I feel they're all the same. I had shin splints to the point where I could not move. I taped my shins (via youtube lessons) and I ran 3 miles with no pain. It works, try it. There's also a great company called Rocktape.

  • I have used KT tape for ITB (trail marathon last fall) and love it! You need to watch the youtube videos so that you know how to apply it properly and get some skin adhesive so that it will stay in place. Good luck!

  • I used to use kt tape (last year) and it helped my right runners knee symptoms...Watch some youtube videos, and make sure you clean wherever you put it,, maybe even with some alcohol. I did occasionally have problems with it coming off sometimes. I emailed the company and they said to clean the area very well before applying, so of course I started using the alcohol..
