Hypoglycemic & into running? Snacks for long runs?

Is anyone else hypoglycemic & into running? I'm looking for snack ideas for long runs that don't involve gels, energy drinks & sugars that 'normal' runners can use. I've heard that beef jerky, nuts & cheese sticks work well. Any other ideas?

  • Stephanie: look into Hammer Nutrition products. They have very little sugar. The gel pack for example has 24g carbs but only 4g sugars. Look at their drink mixes also.
