Question About Supplements, RDI, and the average athlete

This question is more of a survey. Most people do not get RDI (recommended daily intake) of vitamins and minerals, protein, amino acids, etc . As athletes, runners, walkers, and the like, I believe we are more aware about this and there are many who find ways to try achieve the RDI. Many ways is through the use of Supplements, Protein Shakes, snacks/bars, etc.

My question is what would be your avg monthly spending allowance on these products and what type do you prefer to use.
