Good afternoon,

This March I will traveling cross country to pursue my artistic dreams in Portland, OR. I have a few friends there now, who tell me that it is a great town for cycling. Do you have any tips, or care to share info about your favorite events?

So far I've heard that fenders are a must in wet weather and to bring rain gear for commuting. Currently, I am planning to bring my Kona Jake. Any tire recommendations?

I'm excited to meet a new community of cyclists and runners. :)
