VDO bike computer? Aargh!!

asked almost 2 years ago | Report

Anyone up to speed (ha!) on a VDO bike computer? Have had nothing but trouble with it since I got it. Worked first couple of months but now can only use the stop watch and clock function. The rest is buggered (technical term)...

  • Bottom line........they suck! Maybe not as bad as the Mavic computers but it's close!

Cateye are the best and even when they had a bad run (wireless back in '04-'05 ish) they will warranty no problem!

  • I have had VDO A8, C2 & now a Z3 and have not had any problems with it bar changing of battery as sometimes some functions stop working when battery is low - have you tried that?

  • I've got a VDO A8+ (wireless) on one bike. Its fine but it goes haywire if I've got my front LED light on at the same time. Tells me I'm going 38mph!!!! My Cateye wireless computers don't do this.
